Neurodiversity Support

Therapy Tailored to Neurodivergent Minds

Neurodiversity is at the heart of Colourful World Counselling Therapies. I work extensively with autistic individuals, ADHDers, people with PDA profiles, sensory processing differences and Tourette’s. My approach is flexible, affirming and shaped around how you think, feel and communicate.

This is not “one‑size‑fits‑all” therapy. It’s therapy that adapts to you.

Understanding Neurodiversity

Neurodiversity describes the natural variation in how people process information, experience the world and interact with others. Being neurodivergent isn’t a problem – but navigating a world built for neurotypical people can be challenging.

Therapy provides a safe, supportive space to explore:

  • Emotional regulation
  • Sensory overwhelm
  • Social fatigue
  • Masking and burnout
  • Identity and self‑acceptance
  • Communication differences
  • Executive functioning challenges
  • Relationship dynamics
  • Life transitions and stress

My work centres on understanding your unique experience and helping you build tools that genuinely work for you.

My Specialist Approach

I have dedicated many years to working with neurodivergent adults, young people and families. My sessions are shaped by:

  • Flexibility – sessions adapt to your communication style, sensory needs and comfort.
  • Patience – space to pause, think, stim, redirect or take breaks.
  • Understanding – no judgement, no pressure, no expectation to mask.
  • Safety – a warm, cosy environment designed to reduce overwhelm.
  • Collaboration – strategies built with you, not handed to you.
  • Affirmation – celebrating neurodivergent strengths, not pathologising differences.

I work “out of the norm” – which means therapy feels human, relaxed and genuinely supportive.

In‑Person & Online Sessions

Neurodiversity support is available:

  • In person – At my therapy room in Saline
  • Online – WhatsApp, Facetime or Messenger

Online sessions can be ideal for those who prefer familiar surroundings or reduced sensory input.
